Welcome to Gatividhi

Gatividhi led by a group of committed social workers and cultural performers; started its work from Bihar in the year 1991(Registered in 1996 as a not for profit organization under Society Registration Act 1860).

Gatividhi is the first champion in Bihar who coordinated with government departments, I-NGO’s and local NGO’s for creating awareness on desired expected positive behavior change.

In more than two decades of journey we served to health, education, water & sanitation issues in Bihar & Jharkhand primarily and other states of India too.

In Jharkhand our team worked with TSRDS, SAIL, JEP, BCC Cell to sensitize and mobilize the community especially marginalized and deprived sector of community.

So far we have developed more than 100 scripts and songs for stage and street performances. We have also trained more than 2000 cultural performers and approx 30,000 school students (Meena Manch under National Programme of Education for Girls at Elementary Level) to perform and create sensitization on different social issues such as girl education, empowering against domestic voilance, child labour, water & sanitation, promoting right to stop early marriage and adolescent health.

Since 2006 BCC program with UNICEF and with BEP under NPEGEL program Meena Muppet show and Meena Theatre Training Workshop are conducted. Complete outline sketch for these programme and also training to trainers from other organization are smoothly performed by the organization at approx 14 districts of Bihar. Gatividhi has been associated with series of BCC program including the “Swasthya Chetna Yatra” in 2011-12 in 6 districts of Bihar.

In accordance our organization have been working and performing on various social issues including, Anti Crackers, Polio Eradication, Vitamin-A Campaign, Breast Feeding, Hand Washing, Census awareness, Child Rights, Discrimination, Equality, Use Toilets and other relevant issues.

Gatividhi is one of the sub recipients for conducting the State ASHA training on module 5, 6 & 7 under NRHM programme in Purnea district.
